Druids Glen Dates to Pre-Christian Times and Was Formerly Part of the Wentworth Estate

Druids Glen lies on the grounds that formed part of the Woodstock Estate, part of Sir Thomas Wentworth's extensive landholding in the 17th Century. The centrepiece of the estate is Woodstock House, which has been magnificently refurbished and is now the Druids Glen clubhouse. In the early 1990s a consortium of Irish businessmen bought the estate and carefully planned and developed the golf resort in keeping with the stunning landscape. The Druids Glen name originates from pre-Christian Druid's altar that lies near the 12th Green.
